SEPTEMBER MORNING, BEARTOOTH BUTTE
ABSAROKA RANGE, WYOMING
This landmark, just north of the Beartooth Highway (U.S. 212) and 16 miles east of Cooke City, Montana, is one of the few remnants of Paleozoic sedimentary rock left in the Beartooth Range. Its summit is 10,384 feet (3,195) meters) elevation. Photographed in early morning, late September, view toward the north.
