| 1993 was the coldest and wettest summer ever recorded throughout Montana. This image was photographed just after sunrise on the 18th of August. The low temperature that morning in Cooke City, located near the base of this 10,166 ft. peak, was 18ยบ Fahrenheit. Mt. Republic is actually located just south of the state line in Wyoming. |
